Task: Design Training Programs
The objective of this task is to design training programs to help the Capgemini and Client teams align with the newly defined process model and corresponding tool changes.

Main Description

A detailed training program for both Capgemini and Client identified team members is prepared by the Service Delivery Processes Lead to help them familiarize with the Service Delivery Processes and tools. The purpose of the training program is to help the Capgemini and Client teams align with the newly defined processes and corresponding tool changes to facilitate effective implementation as part of the transition and continual adherence during the steady phase of the engagement.

The basic elements of an effective training design are:

 

  • It is learner-focused
  • It should be based on identified needs
  • It has measurable objectives
  • It is goal oriented
  • It is time bound
  • It has taken into account the resource constraints and availability.

 

Training design is nothing but a Training Plan and involves three activities:

 

  • Stating the training objectives
  • Identifying the learning activities as well as methodologies
  • Sequencing the activities in which they have to be held for meaningful learning.

The Training Plan defines training curriculum, number and structure of sessions, required materials, etc. It is pivotal to seek concurrence on the training design and Training Plan with Capgemini and Client stakeholders to ensure that their objectives and expectation from the training program are captured as part of the designed training program as they will have to seek concurrence from their respective teams to ensure that all nominated participants should be able to participate in these trainings as per the proposed plans.

The Service Delivery Processes Lead must collaborate with Engagement Manager (Transition) to avoid any conflicts in the Training Plan with other transition planed tasks.

In case of Business Service, the Training Plan must include training for the target operating model for Capgemini team, Clients and relevant stakeholders for each country or region or BU.
